Mains Switchboard Upgrade & Indoor Pool Concourse Flooring Replacement Project 7 April to 30 April 2025.
As part of our commitment to providing you with well-maintained facilities, we are undertaking the next stage of essential maintenance at the Geographe Leisure Centre (GLC). This project will require both a full and a partial closure of the centre during April 2025.
Closure Details:
• Full Centre Closure: Monday, April 7 to Friday, April 18 (inclusive)
• Indoor Pool Closure: Monday, April 7 to Wednesday, April 30 (inclusive)
The centre will reopen on Saturday April 19, except for the Indoor Pool, which will reopen on Thursday 1st May. We understand this may cause some inconvenience, but these essential works are crucial to ensure the facility remains operational and safe for the next decade.
What’s Happening During the Closure:
1. Mains Switchboard Upgrade (7 – 18 April): We are upgrading the switchboard that supplies power to the entire centre. After 26 years its due for replacement.
2. Pool Concourse Flooring Replacement (7 - 30 April): We are replacing the deteriorated flooring around the Indoor Pool with new rubber flooring and edge tiles.
